Nazi Weather station in Canada?

In the 1980s, Canada discovered that the Germans mounted a fully armed expedition into their country without anyone even noticing during World War II. In 1943, Germany was hoping to get a heads up on weather patterns–which served as a crucial advantage for the Allies during the war– originating in the west by dispatching a U boat to set up an Automated Weather Station in Newfoundland. They disguised the station, and they marked as property of the Canadian Weather Service. For almost forty years no one knew that it was controlled by the Germans. In 1981 it was discovered to be property of the Nazis and, now, it is a big attraction at the Canadian War Museum in Ottawa, Ontario.
